Red Wavelength and Digital Sensor
Empiric observation has led to an resolution, that apparently a red wavelength is somewhat of a difficulty to capture for a digital imaging sensor, and is prone to more image noise than other colors. The following is not based on any scientific study, rather than logic reasoning which I wanted to share.
Of course a frame of reference need to be set up, and it is the spectrum of visible light, the one emitted by the Sun, where all wavelengths are emitted at the same intensity. In this case, the red wavelength holds less energy, due to the longest wavelength from the spectrum. In a given exposure time, the sensor receives less readings from the red wavelength than from the others, lowering the signal-to-noise ratio and making the image noise more apparent.
